MS, LCMHCA
Allison graduated from The University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill’s Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program. She spent the last few years developing her skills at the UNC Health & Pain Management Center and at a private practice where she provided counseling to children, adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD and PTSD. Allison works with individuals of all ages but particularly enjoys working with children!
Allison is driven to help and motivate others to make positive changes in their lives. This led her to a career as a mental health counselor. She’s passionate about destigmatizing mental health concerns and creating an open dialogue about it in our community. In addition to counseling, Allision loves spending time outdoors, staying active through running and yoga, along with trying out new recipes.
During Allison’s clinical internship, she saw the impact anxiety had on her clients’ lives and developed an interest in helping them manage their symptoms. When she learned about A Little Counseling, Allison knew this practice would be a good match! “When I visited the practice, I knew I wanted to be a part of this team because the atmosphere is so welcoming and calming. I could see Bri-Ann’s passion for helping individuals with anxiety, which connects with my own. I believe in this environment I will be able to create a safe and supportive space for each client to achieve their goals.”
