MSW, LCSWA
Lisa is a graduate of Hunter College School of Social Work’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive, diverse experience across a variety of settings, including intensive outpatient behavioral health, private family psychology practice, crisis stabilization, and public human services. These foundational experiences have deeply shaped her understanding of the unique challenges individuals face, strengthening her commitment to meeting each client exactly where they are. Lisa’s approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and helping clients develop practical, solution-focused coping strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.
Her passion for counseling grew through her dedicated work in Child Protective Services, where her work with children and families exposed her to complex emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Witnessing firsthand the impact of these experiences—as well as how vital skilled mental health support can be—inspired Lisa to transition into counseling. These experiences motivated her to dedicate her career to helping individuals and families navigate difficult circumstances, overcome systemic barriers, and build healthier futures.
Lisa chose to join A Little Counseling because of its deep commitment to strengthening therapists' clinical skills through ongoing professional development, strong clinical supervision, and guidance. She values being part of a team that prioritizes both clinician development and high-quality client care. Having supported clients through crisis stabilization, family reunification, and daily life transitions, she possesses a deep understanding of how life's challenges impact daily life and knows how vital it is to feel heard, supported, and equipped with the right tools. Her ultimate goal is to help clients build self-confidence, strengthen their coping skills, and create a meaningful life that reflects their core values.
Outside of her clinical work, Lisa loves spending time with her family and loved ones. She has a deep interest in anything related to true crime, enjoying the psychology and investigative work behind criminal cases. To unwind, Lisa enjoys crocheting, swimming, and traveling to new places. Lisa looks forward to walking alongside her clients as they navigate life's challenges, discover their strengths, and move forward with greater confidence and well-being.
