MS, LCMHC
Lauren completed a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University’s CACREP certified program. She graduated a member of the professional honor society, Chi Sigma Iota.
During her graduate studies, Lauren gained experience helping individuals cope with a variety of mental health concerns in a private practice setting. She has also worked with children and young adults with autism and other special needs. She was a teacher assistant at a special education school and volunteer peer mentor for college students on the autism spectrum.
Lauren works with individuals of all ages at A Little Counseling. She is especially passionate about helping those affected by anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD.) She strongly believes in the importance of psychoeducation – “knowledge is power.” Lauren is also trained in using Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) to help individuals gradually face their fears head-on.
Life experiences guided Lauren’s decision to enter the field of counseling. She knew from a young age that she was passionate about mental health and wanted to go into a helping profession. In her free time, Lauren enjoys being outside in nature, spending time with her family and her dogs, and cozying up with a good book.
“What I loved most upon visiting A Little Counseling was its focus on helping individuals understand and overcome anxiety in a quiet and comfortable setting for young people and adults alike.”
