Counseling Program Director & Clinical Supervisor

Bri-Ann is a graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post's CACREP Certified Master's program in School Counseling with an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She graduated as a member of Chi Sigma Iota, Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society which recognizes high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the field of counseling. She has many years of experience interning and working with children in schools and in a psychiatric inpatient unit. Her proudest and closest to heart experience was training and working under Jeffrey A. Roosa, LCSWR of Roosa Counseling Services, where she served as a Staff Therapist. Bri-Ann saw adults and couples on top of working with Jeff in his successful play therapy program.

Bri-Ann has always held an interest in the counseling field and helping people. Dating back to her childhood, she could be found pretending to have her own practice and clients. During her time as an undergraduate in Psychology at the University at Albany, she was accepted by the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Hotline Program where she helped students cope with emotional, social and other life issues. Although a career in counseling was never a question, Bri-Ann was a dancer for over 18 years and a choreographer for the University Dance Council in college. She loves Disney, coffee, driving in the car, decorating and making spaces look pretty!

Bri-Ann’s true passion (besides her two little girls) is anxiety. She says "Anxiety counseling really is our jam! I don’t like that so many people struggle with anxiety, but we believe “you got this!" She has committed her practice and career to helping individuals overcome their anxiety. Bri-Ann strongly believes in the benefits of counseling. She loves to provide individual and group counseling to kids in the play therapy and adolescent counseling program; and she feels incredibly lucky to work with an awesome team of counselors! 😊

"When the doors first opened to A Little Counseling, I told myself if this facility could change the life of at least one person then we’ve succeeded with our mission. Over 4 years later, I can confidently say we’ve helped many and will continue to do so for years to come. A big thank you to our Client Coordinators for holding it down and to our awesome team of therapists who HUSTLE to provide both in-person and telehealth visits to ensure individual client needs are fulfilled during these weird times. Last but not least, thank you to every client and family who enters our facility and entrusts us with your mental health. We value and appreciate you all."
