MSW, LCSW
Amanda graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University. She has years of experience working in private practice as an outpatient therapist and works with individuals of all ages.
Amanda's interest in mental health began after taking her first psychology class and experiencing personal struggles. These experiences taught her the value of having someone to listen, support, and advocate for her. She was drawn to social work because of its emphasis on self-determination and empowerment. As a therapist, she enjoys supporting individuals as they explore their interests, recognize their strengths, and develop goals. Empowering clients with tools, training, and knowledge to help them improve their well-being and achieve their goals is especially rewarding to her.
In her free time, Amanda likes to bowl, read, write, run, and hike. She enjoys watching sports, especially hockey (let's go Rangers!), and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
Amanda chose to work at A Little Counseling (ALC) due to the comfortable, supportive, and encouraging environment created by both the physical office space and Bri-Ann. She connected with ALC's mission of destigmatizing counseling and agrees that everyone can benefit from "A Little Counseling" to help navigate life's issues.
