MA, LCMHCA
Alixandra graduated with her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. She has experience providing individual and group therapy in intensive outpatient settings, utilizes evidence-based techniques, and has a passion for facilitating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups. Alixandra has worked with individuals of all ages and takes a collaborative approach to therapy, meeting clients wherever they are in their journey.
She has always been drawn to understanding people—what makes them who they are, how they navigate the world, and what helps them heal. Her passion for working with clients stems from a deep belief in the power of early intervention and the importance of having a safe space to explore emotions, build resilience, and develop lifelong coping skills. Witnessing the strength and growth of her clients as they overcome challenges fuels her dedication to the field.
Alixandra enjoys immersing herself in nature through hiking, running, spending time with animals, or simply savoring quiet moments outdoors. She also loves crafting and is an enthusiastic fan of storytelling, whether through books, video games, or writing. As a queer, secular, and vegan therapist originally from Manhattan, she strives to bring authenticity, warmth, and a nonjudgmental presence to every session.
“I was drawn to A Little Counseling because of its warm, welcoming approach to therapy and its commitment to making mental health support accessible to children and families. I love being part of a team that values connection, growth, and the uniqueness of every client.”
